Santa Gave Chooch a Treehouse!

Chooch was thrilled to open one of his presents from Santa this year and find a H*me D*pot tool belt, a how to build a treehouse book, and a gift card from the same store. And lucky (or unlucky, depending on your point of view!) DH also received a more detailed how to build a treehouse book. So, guess what's been going on in the Something About Nothing backyard for the past three days???





That's DH and Paw-Paw, hard at work on the new treehouse...and I'm sure you're asking, "Where in the world are Chooch and K-girl? Aren't they helping, too?"

Oh sure, they're helping...in their own special way...from the trampoline:



Seriously, they did pretty good to stay out of the way for the heavy stuff and surprise of surprises, no one has gotten hurt (I hope I'm not speaking too soon!!). DH and Paw-Paw finished up the decking on New Year's Day (Happy Birthday, Paw-Paw!) and now all that's left is for DH to complete the railing. Later, he plans on adding the actual walls and roof to the house, and some other fun extras, but for now, Chooch and K-girl are pretty excited to have their (almost) completed treehouse:
